What is the Techline T3 designed to spray?

Why does the T3 run a higher inlet pressure than other CAT HVLP guns?

High-build coatings need more fluid speed to atomize properly. The T3's 45 PSI maximum gun-inlet ceiling delivers that, where the fine-finish CAT guns are held to lower compliant pressures suited to thin topcoats. It's still an HVLP gun — the higher ceiling matches the heavier material.

Can the Techline T3 spray thin topcoats too?

It can, but it's optimized for high-build work. For thin stains, sealers, and fine topcoats you'll get a better finish from a fine-finish gun like the CPR-FE, FE-Line, or CAT SLP. Use the T3 where build and material speed matter most.

The C.A. Technologies Techline T3 is an HVLP gravity spray gun built for primers, high-build coatings, and heavier-bodied industrial materials. It carries a large 1.3–2.2 mm fluid tip range (33-0213 to 33-0222 tips with 40-P13xx needles) on matched 23-10xx air caps, and runs a higher 45 PSI maximum gun-inlet pressure ceiling than the fine-finish CAT guns — giving it the fluid speed to move thick, high-build material while staying HVLP. That larger tip range and higher ceiling point the T3 squarely at surfacers, high-build primers, and heavier industrial coatings rather than thin topcoats.
